Game Changer: 7 Social Media Sites Every Blogger Must Use for Traffic

Was your blog hit by Google’s algorithm roll outs? Mine was.
Despite having “helpful” content, small bloggers such as myself were on the receiving end of the “unhelpful” accusation as we saw our keyword rankings and subsequent blog traffic plummet, I mean nose-dive plummet.
Ouch! So, I started studying what to do. The answer is simple: Find methods of traffic generation other than Google. This article details what I use to generate traffic along with SEO.
Are you worried about being called a spammer by promoting your blog content on Facebook? Don’t be.
Although this article sharing 18+ Facebook Groups was written in 2017, I still use many of the groups to promote my blog content. Some of the groups have tens of thousands of people. That’s a lot of exposure for your blog content. Heads up: Be sure to follow the rules. For instance, some groups want you to promote in a designated thread.
I find the traffic I generate from LinkedIn after posting there is almost immediate. I recently read that LinkedIn is effective for traffic generation, and that has been my experience of late. It may not be a lot of traffic, but hey, everything adds up.
BizSugar
Okay, if you are going to promote on BizSugar, you need to get the URL right. Go to Share.BizSugar.com.
As with some of the Facebook groups, there are stipulations. For instance, your content description must be a minimum number of characters, so don’t make it too short.
Also, BizSugar has content labels, but they are pretty broad. Even a label as generic as “Success Stories” is there.
Scoop.it
Although I don’t generate traction from Scoop.it, I like to promote there. Do you know why? Scoop.it has a DR of 86. When I place my link there, I am doing off-page SEO. A link from a site with an 86 DR can potentially help my own DR. Here is more information about Scoop.it in the event you’ve never heard of the site: https://www.mostlyblogging.com/scoop-it/.
